Regarding dead victims...
We are truly sick of the evil way victims are "honored". That specific term bandied about at gatherings, as if they were tribute, instead of being mourned as they should be.
It plays into the idea that their lives were not wasted, but can serve as some kind of role model for those who survive them. As if that made sense, as if that was a reason, for the ridiculous tragedies we continue to allow.
It's a sick nuance, to an intolerable situation. .
