An anniversary we should celebrate...
Of course, the end of World War II was brought about by the surrender of Japan sixty-eight years ago today.
We don't mention it much because the Japanese are kind of touchy about it.
But when you think about it, we really should celebrate the end of conflicts, no matter how upsetting things are. The idea that we stopped spending money at that point on sending boys and bullets overseas, that's something to throw a party over.
We suggest you call in sick today. That's the first step.
