And finally a hero...

The San Francisco fan who got his head smashed in by Dodger fans, Brian Stow, just got a hero today.

No, it wasn't anyone associated with Los Angeles.  Don't look for them to do the right thing here.

No, it wasn't someone currently associated with the Giants or San Francisco, but you're getting warmer.

It was Barry Bonds, reviled asterisk on baseball's records. That awful guy that keeps getting spit on by other teams and even some Giants fans. Yeah, that's what you think.

With no benefit other than to do something nice for a guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time (hey, looking for a motto LA?) he's privately funding Brian Stow's kids through college.

Great Job Barry.

We have no doubt that there will be people saying Bonds only did it to get back in the graces of fans, that his motives are selfish and they still don't forgive.  We have only two things to say to you people:

- Your forgiveness is worthless.

- Fuck you.
