And Oregon...

We know how proud you are about keeping your taxes down. Oh, you do so crow about it, so proud. The cry of "Don't let them Califonicate Oregon" as you swill your PBR.

And so, your public services are poor, your roads suck, so much gravel on them that windshield repair must be a huge service industry for you. On road trips we typically time our Oregon exposure to passing-through only.

Given all that, the advice from your own sheriffs is not terribly surprising.  In the light of a 911 call that went shamefully unanswered, and assault undeterred, they say that if you want to live in a safe neighborhood you should "consider relocating to an area with adequate law enforcement services."

Yeah, someplace where people understand that a police force runs on taxes.
