A small geography / political lesson...
We'd hoped that this would someday seep into the popular culture, that it didn't actually have to be said, but here goes.
America is not a country. It's a geographical land mass that encompasses multiple countries. North America, for example, includes Canada and Mexico. And if you're not saying "North America," just "America" you are including all of South America too.
This puts 74% of Country & Western song lyrics and dumb fuck hick retorts into the realm of proving home schooling and popular illiteracy will continue to make us look foolish in the eyes of the rest of the world.
And we don't really need help with that.
