Funny, we've got one of those too!
Reading this morning about the factory in China where Apple has their iPads made. Apparently the pressure to keep up the flow is pretty intense. And we're talking concentration camp intense. Factory owners talking about how nobody is forced to work overtime, but apparently minimum wage makers aren't getting that memo. Seventeen suicides in the last five years, and eleven of those in 2010. Now there's a "promise not to commit suicide" that must be signed by workers - it denies families compensation or ability to prosecute the company if you kill yourself.
Interesting bit about how "If they slack off, their bosses will humiliate them, forcing them to write confession letters and read them aloud in front of other workers."
