They're lying to you...
Now that you've seen Avatar on IMAX for the fifth time, spending nearly $100 for the experience, we have to let you in on something.
You didn't see Avatar on IMAX.
At least, probably not.
You see, most of the theatres showing Avatar on IMAX are actually showing it on "IMAX Digital."
And of course, they charge you $5 for those recycled 3D glasses too. Sure, that's about a 400% markup on the manufacturing cost and a chance for you to pick up a nice case of pink eye in the bargain.
But hey, at least you got to see the 21st century version of Ferngulley.
