And they keep on coming...
Signs at the health care reform home town meeting, reading "Don't Kill Our Grandma" prove just how lousy our educational system is and how well-tuned the hate radio is at manipulating this country's herd-folk.
A couple of observations...
Jon Stewart pegged it when he quoted Bart Simpson about how the loss of power in this country has "broken the brains" of the radical right. They're not even taking the time to make it look like their arguments have a rational to them - the ones postulating these bizarre notions know they don't have to; their sheep area already drooling and itching to be led.
So many Southern accents, even in Northern state's town halls? We're not saying...
Do all of these fuckers chow down at Hometown Buffet at least three times a week? Swear to god we still can see the dribbles of macaroni and cheese on some of the overstuffed shirts and blouses.
Final fact: According to the National Center for Health Statistics, the US ranked 29th in the world in infant mortality in 2004. The Institute of Medicine notes that approximately 18,000 Americans died in 2000 because they had no health insurance. Everyone is paying more for health care, getting less, and the medical and pharmaceutical industry lobbyists continue to grow their influence, kill alternative medicines, and increase profits.
