Or maybe not quite over...
Although Sarah Palin has accepted David Letterman's apology for her not understanding the difference between slander and a joke, the idiot followers are apparently on autopilot. Like a bunch of sugar-infused fifth-graders they can't quite conceptualize an end to things that doesn't involve their getting their way. This is quite obvious if you read the out of context drooling posted on the firedavidletterman.com web site. Misspellings and convenient out of context quotes aside, this is a site well worth visiting, if only to make you proud of your own web design skills.
And of course, the real irony here is that all this attention has been pushing David up in the ratings. Although we're kind of thinking that this is also due to the fact that people are starting to catch on that Conan O'Brien acting strange doesn't really qualify as humor so much as embarrassingly awkward.
