Cameras

Much has been said about the way cameras in public are removing all privacy from our lives, making our actions part of public record, and basically stripping away the illusion of anonymity. Whether you subscribe to the big, or little, brother theories, or simply get tagged running a red light via photo evidence delivered weeks later, it's a little creepy.

But note, you're walking around with a camera just about every day in your phone.  And as Bay Area Rapid Transit officials are learning now, the camera captures both ways.

We're not going to ring in on the tragedy of the shooting, it's not our way, but we do want to suggest that the potential for big brother putting you in the public record is best met by the potential of you creating records of your own.
