In like a lion
The saying used to be "March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb" commenting on the end of winter with a blustery roar and the beginning of the milder spring.
Of course with the advent of global warming we expect some revisionist conservative to formally change this sampler fodder to read more like "March comes in like an insane rhino and goes out like a poisonous cobra."
