Bye Netscape...
We will take a moment to recognize that Netscape gave us the first hint as to what the World Wide Web could be, and that was an important and worthy step.
Everyone should take note however that lack of innovation, attempting to own an area through use of lawyers and political machinations does not guarantee success of ownership, much less a good product.
The WWW is fine today, even with AOL dropping any further development of the Netscape product, letting it sail off into software history.
To which we say, AOL is still around?
