Because it's good to keep some perspective, we recommend reading the letter by Carter administration ex-vice president Walter Mondale from the Washington Post. The Carter administration was boring, gas prices did soar up to around 75 cents a gallon ($2.80 adjusted for inflation) and there was a hostage situation in Iran (hmmmm.... sounds familiar) but again we'd take it without hesitation over the current band of liars, thugs, and thieves.
Without inflammatory reference, Mondale dissects the Cheney vice presidency in a manner that has us scratching our head and saying "yeah, why hasn't this guy been tried for his crimes yet."
