Visit to another world...
Ok, we're loving Atlanta. Granted, we've only spent enough time in the South before to develop a passing acquaintance with the concept of "sweet tea." This time we've hit a no-name barbeque spot where we learned about a whole bunch of new foods. The list of vegetables was particularly interesting, lots of sweet-potato pie, collard greens, pole beans, batter-fried eggplant. We even learned that macaroni and cheese is actually a vegetable.
Great fun.
Back in our childhood we dreamed our Star Trek dreams of going to visit people on other planets, learning their cultures, seducing their green-skinned queens, and eating their food. Well, since NASA has screwed the pooch, this will have to do for now...
