Not secure...

Ok, it's time for a public service announcement.

We were reading Engadget's current series on the relative insecurity of standard home key locks, and suggest you do too. We kid you not, there's a video of an untrained 11 year old girl armed with simple equipment who opens two standard door locks in a matter of seconds. Kind of reminiscent of the Kryptonite bike locks a few years ago that could be opened with parts from a ball point pen, only much "closer to home."  The source material is at www.security.org.  From their main page, click Security, then Alerts.

Of course, as the saying goes, locks keep the honest people out.  Most burglaries are done starting with a crowbar or a brick.
