Scent of a City

San Francisco bus shelters are known for several distinct smells.  But today the "Got Milk" folks are adding one.  Chocolate. That means that when you, lower-middle class worker bee, step into said shelter you'll be greeted with the scent of "freshly baked cookies." All this thanks to a odor emitting strip that has been pasted to the roof of the shelter. This scheme is supposedly going to get you to think about picking up a few freshly baked Mrs. Fields, and a gallon of milk to wash it down.

Our fear; that the smell of chocolate mixed with other more common SF smells such as urine, sewer gasses, rampant bad hygiene, and the occasional ripening fish may get us to toss our cookies.
