We don't want to add to the controversy...

But this whole Mel Gibson thing has got us worried.

Granted, there have been plenty of great actors with drinking problems. And we'll not even go down the list of fine performers who had run-ins with the law.  We don't want to cover the whole "did he mean the racist comments?" thing. (Passion of the Christ was the most overproduced S&M film in history in our opinion, but not germane to this discussion.)

Nope, we're seriously concerned about the beard. What, is he looking to snatch up the Bin Laden role next meaty made-for-TV docudrama?

And what does this all portent for the next Mad Max movie?
