Funny Angry Black Man...
Ironic given yesterday's post.
Richard Prior died yesterday. Of course, lots of kids are probably saying "who the fuck was Richard Prior?" Of course, that doesn't include Chris Rock, The Wayans Brothers, Eddie Murphy or any number of those who came after him. He's been out of the limelight for the last few years, a victim of MS, but still his death came too early.
When we think of Prior, we remember his comeback performance after burning half his body in a well-publicized freebasing accident; Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip. One joke stood out. Prior is in front of the audience again, talking about what happened after the explosion...
