Oh crap...
Very bad feeling here. Everyone is saying how Bush nominee for Senate John Roberts is such a shoe-in for confirmation. This is a guy who is likely to spend 30 or more years in the position, he'll be voting on Abortion, search and seizure without process, separation of church and state, death penalty, assisted death, and so many of the issues that stand between us and a totalitarian police state. And we know so little about him, or at least the press says they know so little. But it's coming out less than 12 hours later...
At least one Pro Choice group is already calling Roberts an "unsuitable choice" due to his connection to statements about Rowe needing to be overturned. He's come out for sponsoring prayer in schools, and called Wildlife regulations unconstitutional. Bush wanted this guy instated in a dignified manner, meaning without meaningful discussion or investigation, but we'll have to see about that one boy. You don't always get what you want flightsuit boy, especially when you're trying to solidify the right's choke hold on our rights.
Personally, we don't like his eyes.
