We read this morning that a group of linguists from Oakland CA (home to the Oakland Raiders and their throngs of parole violating fans) chose the word or phrase that dominated national discourse over the course of the last year; red state, blue state, purple state.
Funny, we would have gone with stupid cracker, lying fascist, delusional moron ourselves.
