Faster, Pussycat! Kill... dead
Russ Meyer is dead. One of the originals, a maverick in true form, an artiste of honest taste, with unique insights into film form that are often ignored by both critics and fans. Russ is dead today at 82.
But we still have his films, and they'll last forever. Our first exposure to Meyer was the crazy Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens, which has a many layered plot and perhaps his most enthusiastic cast of all. Soon we sought out his remaining films, never disappointed.
