When things need perspective, as they often do when the blind sheep masses are involved, we need a good movie to put things in perspective.
The Pythons were good to us a few years back. "Life of Brian" is a masterful take on the whole messianic mess. Recall this wonderful clip?
Brian: You are all individuals!
Crowd: We are all individuals!
One voice in crowd: I'm not.
Should be required viewing for any glazed-eye bible-thumping verse-spewer. And when we say required, we mean that whole tied-to-a-chair with special viewing implements out of Clockwork Orange. Yeah OK, you can have popcorn too.
At least it stands a good chance of putting the more extreme cases into a deep coronary thrombosis or stroke. Good for them, good for society.
