Prince opens the Grammies with a medley of Purple Rain songs, a now 20 year old movie, while the rest of the world celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show.
Sweetest music had to be 50 cent "accidentally" getting out there to accept the best new artist award... it was going to Evanescence, and we all say "is that absolutely the last time he can be up for a "new artist" award"? And does that mean his 50 cents of fame are up; time to go into the irrelevant crotch-grabbers bin in the recycled records store?

We do so like Evanescence and hope they can get past the "best new artist" curse. Usually it's a sure fire trip to one-hit-wonderville. |
