California must feel like the guy caught with mismatched socks this morning. It just can't get this election thing down. First, it has a real election where the choice was between a boring loser and an out-and-out fascist. Now, in a recall basically purchased by one rich man, the voters again choose between boring loser and charismatic groper who has no experience or detailed agenda.
It's a no-win situation. The financially ailing party state, notorious for doing what looks like the most fun, is likely to spin further downward like a mustard-covered John Belushi. At least it will keep comics in material for a few years...
